Château de Saurs has been the Gineste de Saurs family seat since the 14th century, where wine making has always been a family tradition. The chateau was built between 1848 and 1852 by the current owner’s great grand father Eliezer Gineste de Saurs. A respected Toulouse barrister, Eliezer Gineste de Saurs was related by marriage to the Amilhau family, who have borne many illustrious figures within the legal profession and public service of Toulouse and the region.
