The Whites
Mauzac
Its main characteristics lie in its aromas which recall apple and pear. It produces soft wines with very little acidity.
Le Loin de L’oeil
This very old grape variety is found only in Gaillac. It yields a fresh and supple wine with a typically floral bouquet.
Sauvignon
A certain « smokiness » together with aromas of citrus fruits, this grape completes the traditional white grape varieties of Gaillac.

The Reds
Duras
This is a grape that gives colour, suppleness and elegance. It has a peppery or spicy bouquet.
Fer Servadou (Braucol)
This grape creates a colourful, fleshy and rustic wine. Its highly characteristic and unique aromas elicit black currant, raspberry and peppers.
Syrah
Used sparingly, this grape adds structure and tannins, and a range of complex aromas to the wine.

Merlot
Only recently planted in our vineyards, this is a secondary grape which, when blended with indigenous grapes, adds the final touch to the palate.
Gamay
Gamay is supple, fruity and adds roundness. It is the only grape that qualifies for our Gaillac Primeur (which goes on sale on the 3rd Thursday of November).
